Blame it on spellcheck but just wanted to let you know that we so called wimps (biting my tongue so hard not to resort to low brow name calling) due to my inbred politeness, still have our Options and an important one is to be able to state our Opinions.
Mine is to join the chorus of Booo's and I would like to add a few Hsss's for emphasis.
My flags are up a for Flag Day to join millions more tomorrow and forever.

No disagreement that the USA helped a lot. But to claim it single handedly saved the world is arrogant. If not for the isolationist policies of the 20's/30's there might not have been a war.

Trump signed an order to stop federal funding to any school or university that has a covid 19 vax mandate. Now if he can do the same for the transplant patients that would be awesome as they are still being denied for not having a covid vaccine.
A bunch of states left leaning are suing trump for allowing Musk in . Crazy they think he's just collecting personal information but that is just another lie as they are all being exposed to the corruption and crapping their pants.
In reality he's just showing the truth and the taxpayers did support left leaning organizations in romanias latest coup when they again lied and blamed it on Russian interference lol. Gotta give them credit tho for the American taxpayers paying for foreign regime changes. They also paid for Zelensky to get into Ukraine back in 2014 with its Cia backed coup.
Hopefully 10% for the big guy gets exposed but probably not as was a private company unless the taxpayers also paid that company millions then we might never know.

The U.S. subsidies Canada through the current trade situation to a tune of 2 to 2.5 billion each year - why? - the U.S. has every right to demand a level playing field- this same thing is happening with Mexico and Europe - I saw an example - a car is made in Detroit has a price tag of 50,000 - it is sent to Germany where a 10% tariff is added and then a 10 % tax making the car cost 60,000 - a car is made in Germany and sent to the U.S. where 1% tariff is added - what Trump is doing is making a reciprocal tariff - wherever you charge we will charge - sounds fair to me
While I fully agree that the disrespect is very uncalled for and makes me ashamed to be Canadian. We are better than that, at least we used to be.
But I'm not sure you realize how insulting and disrespectful this "51 state" talk is to Canadians. I thinks its far worse than booing an anthem. So in that regard, Trump started it. But 2 wrongs don't make a right and we Canadians should not stoop to his level.
As for the 250billion number, that is a flat out lie. Started off with him saying 100m and kept growing. Yet people believe it. Its actually about 45billion and the majority of that is significantly discounted crude oil that the US refineries want. Also don't forget we are only 1/10th of your population, so clearly we don't have the same buying power of the US, so there will never be an even number there.
As for the reciprical tariff idea, I think that is more than fair, and I think Trump should go ahead with that. And if he does I hope Can/US can agree to 0 tariffs.

I didn't mean to call all Canadians wimps just the ones who booed our athletes and anthem - I lived in Canada for a couple years back in the late 50s and have a lot of friends up there - it's not the same place - Trump never said anything about Canada becoming the 51st state by force - he thought that it would be a win-win situation for both countries and Canadians would want this to happen - I personally think it would be a bad idea because of the liberal leaning of so many Canadians - we would just have another big blue state like California -
VP Vance gave a talk the other day about how Europe is stifling free speech and attempting to control what people can say - worth listening to and then look at what happens to someone in Canada who voices their option on certain matters -
