I wonder if the US remembers who saved their diplomats in Iran or fought with them in the Gulf War 1 and Afghanistan or does Trump remember 9/11.
Where did those planes land? I think the US owes Canada and not the other way around. I'm think the bill for each plane that landed in Canada is worth 100 Billion @ 38 planes. So that means the US owes Canada 3.8 trillion and I think the US Citizens need to once again tell Canadians that we are the greatest friends they have ever had.
Please send the 5 Trillion this week (had to round to a nice number).

Joepa let's not forget Trump only ended up with around 49% of the popular vote. That is a far cry from a majority. And my guess is with his latest shenanigans, some "MAGA" voters might be having a hangover. I doubt highly that an invasion could take place as it would not be in the best interest of the American people. Something tells me the military would not follow his orders.
He may be your president, but that doesn't mean all Americans feel the same way. At least 50% would disagree.

OK - 5 trillion - now lets subtract the savings that Canada realized over all the years from not needing to build a large military force to defend itself but rather depended on the US to do that - 5 trillion minus 5.3 trillion = .3 trillion - you owe us - but being a nice guy I'll call it even -
It looks like Mexico and Canada got the message and no tariffs will be needed for now - also we can call the invasion off -

After Trump and JT talked on the phone...........4 : 36 pm today
Quoting both:
D.Trump.
Canada has agreed to ensure we have a secure Northern Border, and to finally end the deadly scourge of drugs like Fentanyl that have been pouring into our Country, killing hundreds of thousands of Americans, while destroying their families and communities all across our Country.
Canada will implement their $1.3 Billion Border plan, and as per Prime Minister Trudeau, will be, “reinforcing the Border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are, and will be, working on protecting the Border. In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the Border, launch a Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl, and we will be backing it with $200 million.”......
Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together

Wondering how they came up with 10 000 troops Mexico will also use 10 00 troops to protect their boarder. Are the drugs coming through the Bush or a regular crossing ?
Also Canada and the usa has now labeled the cartell a terrorist organization. That could escalate military actions

I do not know if it going to make any difference in the long run but it was a very small ray of sunshine in another gloomy day. The latest credible poll I saw this morning of U.S. Registered Voters. Oppose the tariffs 51%, support the tariffs 38%. I think some of them still remember what Canada has done not some bull dung about he amounts of fentanyl and illegal immigrants we are sending across the border. He is stirring the pot and I fear will continue to for the next four years. We all have to get used to it and we will all have to continue to react with strong, thoughtful fore sight.
Now China is hitting back and the U.K. and E.U. may not be far behind if it all starts to affect them

I hate to give credit to Trudeau but is seems he hornswoggled the old orange fella. The program Trump is bragging about was implemented last December. The only thing new is a "Fentanyl Czar" and putting a couple of drug cartels on the terror list.

I wouldn't give him too much credit as the Fentanyl Czar was actually Danielle Smith's idea.....lol.
