Thanks guys.
Turns out the trip included a first for me. Finished cleaning the last of the haul this morning. One of the slot walleyes was tagged by MNRF:

Filled out the report to MNRF online - pretty cool and if it helps manage things all the better.

I would say you did good, Loblaws wants $79.34 a kg for some tiny Lake Perch Fillets and $50.68 for Pickerel per kg.

I had a hard time believing that so checked their website and you are correct - that's insane. According to Loblaws last night's dinner was fit for royalty:

I checked this morning for that price, its pretty insane. They do not sell much at that price but dont mind demanding it.
Yeh you basically are in the Elon Musk elite to be eating perch.
Personally I catch them in the Spring but toss then back as they are to small to bother with. LOL

We ended with just shy of 20 lbs of boneless skinless fillets.

$711.0 at Loblaw prices, covers the cost of the gas for sure.
I use Robin Hood, Brodie self raising flour with a bit of beer for my bass batter.

Had a pop up on YouTube yesterday, “how to clean perch with an electric knife”. It was awesome, fast and I mean fast an easy… If you haven’t seen it, check it out….

My wife makes the batter so don't know the specifics but know it involves flour, beer and spices.
