Indeed it is a good one-thanx for sharing.I think every each hunter should have one- and practice with it regularly. That would greatly AND very cheaply improve one’s ability to shoot accurately.

Slinging five pound scoped rifle for outdoors is a blessing. Capable little utility cartridge/rifle for wide variety of game and target use.
22lr has not disappointed in forty+ years of outdoor adventure.

A rainbow trajectory at those distances, however it can kill far beyond 300 yards.

that pretty good shooting at 300yd. Wondering how high he had to aim to get it there. Would certainly do damage out even further. I used to use the LR a lot for rabbits it was a lot of fun but nowhere near that range

Never dreamt about reaching out that far with my 22. Never thought that cartridge had it in it. Very respectful cartridge as per the penetration in that block of ice, and the shooter in the video…

Yep. There was a video floating around like 10 years ago of a guy who wrapped a store bought turkey in denim and shot it from 300 yards. It went clean through.
As for shooting 22LR that distance, its a load of fun. Ive done it at the camp where we have an 800m long field. If you have a few guys shooting downrange with 22s, you'll figure out the trajectory soon enough. Once one of you finds it, the other will get it shortly "aim for the top of the spruce tree to the left of the target". Once youve got the spot to aim figured out, with a scope, you'll hit most of a magazines worth of shells. I was even hitting it with my old Cooey Ace with fixed iron sights after a while.
