B. Diddy, our hunt camp is always looking for new members - it's not free but for under $200 you get the run of 850+ acres for the year. We're about half way between Bancroft and Madoc - 5 minutes south of the road to Gilmour - right along 62. Send me a PM if you're interested.
+1 good guy ! No camps are free !
Lots of hunt camps out there looking for hunters ( good ones not slackers)

Definitely wasn't knocking the Domtar camps! I hunted as a guest in one for two years and loved the terrain. Completely different from what I'm in farther north. Only hunted two days each year but blooded a new rifle there.
While some hydro lines are on easements we travelled the ones east of 62 from 1973 up until about 1997 and never saw any indication that the road was on private land. Since I moved up here in 98 I've hardly had time to go that far afield...

Well folks that is certainly a bunch of reading at the end of the day to get caught up on. Thanks for all the info. Sounds like there's opportunities out there but knowing the boundaries is the issue!! I didn't think it was that easy to get into one of the Domtar camps. Or ant hunt camp for that matter. I'd be interested in something like that I'm thinkin. Or even just getting out for a day if anyone's looking for company

New spots are always showing up. I would start a post in the big game section with Domtar in the title....
