believe it or not I've had more beagles killed or tore up by yotes when I've been rabbit hunting than when we put them on a fresh yote track... we always run multiple dogs on yote and carry an extra dog or 2 in the box incase we get a split race so we can turn out more if one dog is running alone...we've been running beagles on coyote now for almost a decade and haven't lost one yet... (knock on wood) .. also I haven't had a vet bill from a fight cause the beagles will only bay not grab hold.. unlike my walkers that were good for a few stitches every now and then...
