Default King Township Council Meeting- Firearms discharge bylaw. Council meeting and vote on Jan 27/2014

Please be advised of a council meeting to vote on proposed changes to the discharge of firearms bylaws in King Township on Monday January 27, 2014 at 6PM at 2075 King Road, Council Chambers. If you wish to speak, please register with the recording secretary upon your arrival. Town Council will vote on a proposed bylaw that will limit hunting areas in the Township, and effectivly close large tracts that are not developed, and at last mention are not even in the planning stages for development. The requirement for a landowner to have a Farm Business registration in the defined areas in order to be approved for exemption effectivly closes those locations to indivuals that own properties but not farmland. Further, the acreage requirements are unnescesary and unreasonable. Attendance by all members of the hunting community would be appreciated, wether you live in the Township or not. At previous council meetings there have been good turnouts and thus far any major changes have been averted. The Township currently has a very fair and reasonable bylaw in place, and the Clerks office has demonstrated no significant reason for the proposed changes. Thank you.
