It is for ANY pointing breed, britts, vizslas, DD's, Wirehairs, weims etc.
$45 per dog, the brace you are in will be a half hour long.
Starter pistol will be provided if you are coming from Canada so no need to bring it.

Sounds like a good time. I would like to try it out. Who do you need to contact to enter. Are any hotels or motels close to grounds. Are the trials in PA the same sort of thing as MI.

A good motel is Ann's WaterNWoods in Prudenville Mi.

For information contact Bob Wheelock bobwheelock@comcast.net
For entries contact Chris Demattio cdemattio70@gmail.com
If winter hangs on and there is too much snow making the grounds inaccessible the trial will be pushed back to a later date.
The trials in PA are very similar but I don't think they have hunting dog stakes.
The other events are open to pointing breeds other than pointers and setters. There are brittany's that regularly run against the pointers and setters and do well in the AF sanctioned events.

Just received this regarding the Michigan Amateur trial.
Winter won't give up, we have to postpone the trial scheduled for April 4-6. Our plans are to run in May and we will announce the date when it is determined.
The Hunting Dog stake will not be run during the May date, we will run the Judd Kinne Memorial Amateur SD, (1 hour), The Chester Halley Memorial Derby and the Chuck Pagano Puppy Classic. All stakes are Michigan Dog of the Year points trial. The Shooting Dog also earns points for the Grouse and Woodcock Invitational.
Next trial scheduled is the Ruffed Grouse Field Trial Club on the weekend of April 12, 13 followed by the Lake States, April 14 to completion.
