Hi Fox. Go thru all the maps located at this link, it describes many areas that are leased and also small lots that are not included on larger maps. If anything a good read. http://ottawa.ca/en/residents/laws-l...aw-no-2002-344
Schedule "G" shows Marlbough Forest Lots and concessions

The Lands Division of the MNR coordinates the review and comment on municipal

bylaws, severance and subdivision applications, and requests for amendments all receive
input from the MNR before they are adopted. In this way natural resource concerns and

impacts are addressed before development proceeds. Of particular concern in the
Marlborough Forest are developments in and adjacent to the wetlands that extend across
the forest acquisition boundaries as defined in the Official Plan for RMOC.

Thanks, I am looking at places to buy a house
and I do not necessarily want to back on to the Marlborough, but I would not mind being close to it. I have family in Northern Ontario and Southern Ontario so I am trying to keep my sights set on West of Ottawa, just outside the city limits.

You cannot hunt in all the conservation areas managed by the regional conservation authorities. I've asked the RVCA directly about a parcel I was interested in hunting, and they told me it was not allowed. They were supposed to have developped a permitting system to allow hunting in their conservation areas, but the last time I asked them, they said they would put my name on the list and contact me to let me know. That was well over a year ago (maybe two) and I have not heard anything.

Schedule "G" shows Marlbough Forest Lots and concessions
I'd just caution anyone reading the above post that Schedule G shows lots and concessions in the area of the Marlborough forest. It does not show which lots and concessions are actually part of the Marlborough forest (i.e. public land).
