Default Ice fishing for walleye - need new lake.

I have been going to Nipissing 2-3 times a year for the past 9 years but with the new slot sizes I'm looking to try another lake. Any suggestions would be appreciated !!!. I'm willing to drive 5 hours from GTA but am looking for a decent walleye lake and an out fitter that offers regular cabins with ice huts. Getting too old to be staying on the lake in the bungalows !!!!

Good luck and let me know if you find something with that set up. We're in the same boat.

We're in the same boat, and have tried a couple other lakes out there. Last year was Temagami. Excellent lake, caught a few fishing but we're all coming from south western Ontario so the drive is long for a weekend. Simcoe is a good time for Perch, and then Lake Trout/White Fish later in the season.

There's always the option of renting huts on the lake and finding a local motel for your sleeping and other comforts.
