H & R 45/70 conversion to smokeless M/L
Well after countless hrs searching for a Savage ML10 I found a better option for a much lower price.
I am going to convert a H&R 45/70 to a smokeless M/L by purchasing a converted barrel from this company http://www.smokelessmuzzleloading.com/index.html
I think the break-open action is a better overall option & the price to convert is minimal. Only drawback is the ramrod holder will not be available but I think I can live with that... LOL
I will let you all know how the conversion goes.
If anybody else has one of these converted guns I would like to hear your overall opinion on how the gun performs.

ramrod isn't a big deal I use a take down one that I made from old arrow parts and a shock cord keeping it together,I carry it in a sleeve that fits on my belt.
The H & R make a nice conversion and SMI does a good job. They only recommend lighter loads and you must realize the break open actions aren't as strong as the bolt models.
