    Getting rdy for steel head season anyone been out checking their local trib? Oshawa and farewell still have too much ice what about the others??

    Ice isn't the issue. It's the few feet the river has risen and pea soup consistency that's making it unfishable lol

    Never mind the 'burgs' , flowing down the river, ripping the rod from your hands. I was out today , no fish seen.

    Good for you , I will be out next week. 'My' , creeks are not quite ready. Rods and roe, ready to go!

    i was out friday checking things out. it looked a wee bit dicey, i think i'll hold off for a week or 2

    I went out a couple times this week no luck so far but looks promising, still quite a bit of ice so the next few weeks I should hopefully start seeing fish.

    Who uses roe to fly fish? Hahaha wont be long and it will be time to swing for big bucks with my intruders. Also tied about 100 michigan wigglers haha

    I don't fly fish, I drift roe or trout worms ,with clear bobbers , 8 lb. superline with 4 lb. fluorocarbon leaders, 8 foot rod and a spinning reel. Works for me on the smaller creeks and tight spaces I fish.
