    Default transom riser/manual jack plate

Hey guys, looking to see if anyone has ever used, a manual jack plate, or transom riser brackets, to mount a longshaft outboard to a short shaft transom? I'm looking to buy a used 25hp 2 stroke for my jon boat, but most of what I'm finding is long shaft motors. I was thinking of using a bob's machine mini versa jacker to get a longshaft motor mounted 5 to 6" higher on the short transom?

Or better yet, anybody have a good 2 stroke 25hp in short shaft for sale? lol

I did exactly what you want to do with my 14' aluminum and 25hp. I used the Mini Jacker, and then bolted the motor on in its highest position and when it was all said and done it worked out perfectly.
