Really. I have been waiting all summer to get the pup on some birds. Is it a location you can share or is top secret.
I live in London as well.

Pssst It opens Friday just don't tell anyone else. On a side note the limit for Woodcock and coots are listed together. Always wondered if this means 8 each or and aggregate limit of 8 including both woodcock and coots. Never had an opportunity at coots but always wondered why they are grouped together.

What in the world is a coot? A snipe?

I could see snipe and woodcock grouped together as have run across rare occasions where found both in the same general vicinity. Coots are more deep marsh birds. Honestly they look like the prodigy when a seagull and a duck get together. Supposed to be decent eating though.

Got to concur with Von Dufe. I hunted last weekend's opener near North Bay; got grouse but my woodcock covers were vacant. If the migrants ain't there yet, they surely aren't down here.

Hearing reports of lots of woodcock from Minnesota. Perhaps a good year for breeding success.
