If you're looking for affordable property, great hunting, and amenities... look at Elliot lake. When the industries shut down they built their own retirement home industry.

Lots of Amenities. Great medical, high speed internet, and always jobs in town in support industries. It's a little remote, but that's northern living.

I decided Shelburn. No family to raise, but lots of open space and places to hunt, fish and ski. all within 45min.

Good choice, nice area, I used to live up near New Lowell. Close to all the amenities you need but far enough away from the 'rat race' ..
