I took my wife to Punta Cana for 10 days. I'm ok with winter and would be quite happy to stick around, but you know what they say, Happy Wife, Happy Life!

    A Card.

It's like Christmas, commercialized and about the "presents" and has lost any meaning it may have once had. The SO and I were discussing it this morning, given many of our female friends are posting pics of the roses, or presents, or dinners they to, etc on FB. In her words "I don't get why women are posting this stuff, do they feel the need to show off, brag?, it's only [u]one day, a day that's manufactured[/u}".

My reply was sadly yes. Either because they are Jonesing, or because they feel they aren't special. See it all the time at work, women will proudly display or talk about what their BFs did for them. And women who SOs don't go "the extra mile"? My advice to them is always.

Next time you feel let down, or "embarrassed" by how "little your SO" did. Ask those women who get the whole mile. "What their SO does for them the other 364 days a year."

If people need to VD to show their appreciation.............................
Never have and never will. Then again I've never needed "it"

They expect their flowers and chocolates on VD, I hold off for a while or just pick another day down the road, then they wonder what you've been up to and need forgiveness.

Surprised the wife and took her to the store Bed, Bath and Beyond to meet the new spokes models Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie. We had an amazing time with them taking selfies but the highlight was watching Justin applying the new line of essentials oils all over Kathleen Wynne who showed up unexpectedly. Sophie sang some new material all based on the love she has for herself. It was the best Valentines day in the history of Canada !
