Very nice fish. Halibut fishing is high on my bucket list !

Are there specific seasons on the west coat to ocean fish? On the east coast we can fish for anything at anytime, well except Lobster. I still have never been able to find out why I cannot fish Lobster. But we can fish for Mackerel, Flounder, Haulabit, Pollock, Tommy Cod etc anytime and no license required. Although Mackerel you only really catch when the run in the summer.
