    That's interesting, somehow I alway thought using gland would be legal as I don't see it as a "Product", but I could see been in trouble now....

    I wasn't aware that there has been a case of cronic wasting disease , in Ontario. The glands are only used at my farm. Likely a relative of the attracted deer. Any purchased lure available, is now only synthetic.. old243

    i preferred natural when we had them legally, used to be a fan of 307 and a dripper. used to work well, never tried the synthetic 307 or active scrape after that but i think they are mostly anise based.

    and back then made my own real scents

    I have never used scents personally; however, according to other hunters I've spoken with, natural scents like simple doe urine work exceptionally well in the early season prior to the rut, and estrous works well around November (rut). Anything synthetic is a waste of time and money according to what I have been told.

    I freeze the previous seasons harvest tarsal glands and they seem to work during the rut.
