    Default Smoke on the water

Given I'm super stoked to be WFing this year, the past month/two has been a lot of preparation and little action. Sort of a hurry up and wait thing. The other day I decided to re-visit some images from outings in the past, with the goal of finding one I could re-work.

Baked a little in Photoshop to get what I wanted.

JBen...be prepared to be bitten by the challenge of WF hunting. I was quite taken by it the first season.................................and the long wait in between season opener and closing....a long time..... Still the best 19.60 I have ever spent, besides the small game licence. Plenty of value/opportunity/outings for the cost. I took my time to acquire all the WF stuff I have now from kijiji and yard sales. No need to buy new, cheap calls work, but once you get a good call...hmmm.

Nice Pic J. Brings back memories.

I was adicted at one time. It became too ridiculous with the point system we had. Plus you needed to take a lawyer with you to interpret the outlandish legalese. All the work and prep. and one bird could put you @ the 100point/day and you were through, with one duck.

    Thanks guys.
In the past I went with friends when invited or for the mag. Since moving to the north end of Scugog, I now have access whenever I want. So have been scouting locations to park the park and hunt from shore, or blinds when they aren't in use.

Starting to acquire dekes, build those up slowly
Swapped my wood finish A5, for a Baretta extrema
Trying to learn how to call
Next year will likely pick up neoprene waders, use my simms breathable and layer for this year.
    Sooooooo much.
Have no doubt Line oh the bug will bite me hard. I think it already has.

Will have friends out (sort of an open invite to many given I can go anytime now, morning or afternoon) to have some fun hunting, while I learn. And other times will head out solo. I'm just up the road R if you want to swing a 12g again.

Sounds good if I can find a gun. My old 1100 won't handle steel and my O/U is likely the same but mostly a short barrel.
