    Default Flintlock barrel work

    Work continues on my flinter build. I recently cut dovetails for sights in my barrel and also crowned the muzzle and coned the bore for ease of loading a ball...................Daniel146_3433.jpg

    In my opinion 50 is a good size, i swapped my 45 for a 50 after reading the ballistics charts in Sam Fadala's book.

    My first .50 was a percussion Hawken, I also have a percussion Tennessee mountain rifle in .36 cal. Squirrels fear me...............Daniel
