I cant argue if the one I saw was a pet or not,it was just a cougar after our freshly hung deer on the meat pole, the argument on here generally is about if there are any out there and there are.I do think that there is still a wild population around.

I believe imo only a few wild animals do exist but those animals would rarely come into contact with people. I do believe their are more pet cougars that have escaped and a small probability of that they would survive is low in my opinion. It would be nice though.

I guess there is not a lot of cougars. So they don't get seen much. Lots of other animals are rare. Have you ever seen a fisher?
I saw a Fisher close up while moose hunting. It was close to 4 feet long, chasing rabbits around, then it took an interest in me. Fortunately it chose to look for different quarry, I really didn't want to have to shoot it. But I do wish I had my camera handy, would have been a good shot with that!

There's lots of cougars in ontario. One knocked on my door a few years ago, been living with her ever since. Try your local bar on singles night, tons of them on the prowl....

What was in the bait and yes it looks like a cougar except the spots on his belly tell the rest of the story u got a picture of a bob cat that is why it looks so small as well but if it turns out to be a spotted cougar keep the baits going and get the thing patterned and I'm willing to put my hounds on a fresh track then that will sort out the discussion having cougars here would be great and if I found that on my camera tomorrow morning I'd post it on hear right after I dropped about 7 hounds on his tail then I'd tell u all about it so don't let us rass u to much . U see were I live Avery week someone says they saw a kitty cat and it is always a cougar of course and the Mnr let them go bla. Bla. The same old story that sells newspaper's but ì have never seen a single track in the area were I hunt my dogs never tree one we never have one come on camera on any of the 30 plus bear baits we have never caught one in our 200 plus yote snares that myself and 5 or 6 other trappers in the area hang in the woods and bait aswell and not one trapper around hear has seen even atrack in the snow or scatt or nothing we hunt or trap or log in the woods almost every day of the year we drive miles and miles of bush rds collecting hour hounds in bear seson in the most remote parts of the bush we tree bears somtimes 3km from the closest 4 wheeler trail then hike in to the tree shoot a bear debone the thing then maybe walk out a different direction hoping to find a dryer walk out and we never have seen hide nor hair of the ghost cougar so I know their is not any around hear in the 50 km area that I hunt and trap but if one moves in or passes threw hear I will post a picture right away is their cougars in ont I don't know but their ain't non around hear so far over and out keep looking up
