It's really amazing here due to the preponderance of feed for them. I have over 30 acres of cedar which seems to be a staple of most critters and I am surrounded by cash crop farms. I also has 4 Artesian wells/springs that supply fresh water year round.
Putting out a trail Cam, add some bait and you get some great pics.

I think it would be a quite the scrap, they are cousins of the wolverine which have been reported to repeatedly hold their own against black bears. I saw one deer hunting this year, i was on the ground and praying he didn't come my way, not sure i'd be winning that battle. cool vid, wiry little thing isn't he.

They can be up to 40" long with the tail included. I've even heard of them targeting fawns. Cats and small dogs are no problem but I think a yote would give them a good run for their money.
