Wheres my Karma?
I go back out this afternoon to where the boy shot his deer this morning only to find my tree stand has been taken... My heart drops and mind starts to work overtime... I try and find a place to hunt the last 30 minutes but am too rattled to make it work...
With the farmer spreading manure in the field this afternoon, surely he must have saw something. So I abandon the hunt and go talk to the dairy farmer..... Well it turns out the guys that hunt the December hunt (don't know who they are) came in to remove some stands.... Looks like they have taken mine likely by accident-I hope (my name is all over it).
Farmer does have a phone number to one of the guys from the group but he is out of town (on vacation)....Eventually I hope it works itself out but in the meantime this post will allow me to complain (bi+ch) a bit and maybe the guys/gang that took my stand are on this forum and PM's me so I can get my stand back sooner than later...
With one day left in the control hunt the timing sucks.

Sounds like a pile of crap to me. What hunter would go onto a property that they know is being hunted and screw up someone else's hunt. You'd wait till after the hunt. There's zero chance they'd mistake your stand for one of there's. If it was me i would wait until the day before their hunt then go for a walk with a set of bolt cutters. Pick the nicest stand you see and make sure it's at least worth what you lost. If it's not then I'd take a couple.
