    Default October Buck shoulder mount

After taking this deer on Oct.15th I found out that the local taxidermist I had used recently had given up the craft, so it was time to look for new options. On advise from SK33T3R, I decided to go check out a friend of his in Niagara area who is doing very good work, and getting it done quick.
I was impressed with what I saw, and 4 weeks later, it's all done, and I couldn't be happier with the result.

    Cheers

That's the way all these taxidermists should operate.
They say it takes time but here's the proof that they're dragging their feet.
Leaving a cape in the freezer for 9 months or more can't be good. If you bring him the fresh-off-the-deer cape he will begin right that day with fleshing, lip splitting, tanning etc. The only thing that slows him down is the mail!
Anyway I'm glad I could steer you in the right direction. His bear mounts and mammals are just as impressive.
    I'm glad he's a friend of mine ... maybe I'll get a discount ... that is when/if I get something!
If you keep doing what you've always done. You'll keep getting what you've always got!
