Stay clear of the Ferry, I think it's still running.

went to cooks bay...gilford beach has an easy 5-6 inches as of yesterday. Bite was slow but got a few eaters and a couple jumbos...we were in 14-20 FOW about 75-100 huts on the ice...North of Gilford beach at Simcoe Marina was only 3inches in some spots and not very safe. We managed more and better fish there but left due to unsafe ice after a short while. I suspect the bite will only improve but the perch we caught were stuffed full of pin minnows. Gilford general bait had minnows small but good quality.

The ferry is locked down and people are driving across from the island, went out yesterday and had 8-10 inches just north east of where the ferry runs from. Tons of people were out with huts and popups.
