Joe - you are a better man than I. I was looking forward to one last day out, yesterday, but wimped out when temps were identified below 20.

Usually 2 hours max for me in that temperature feet get too cold. I always hunt from the ground standing next to a tree. You must shoot a crossbow. Sitting that long in the cold I would struggle pulling the compound back.
Happened years ago to me, nice 8 pt came down a trail, raked a tree, stepped into my lane at 20 yards and I couldn't get the bow back. Tried 3 times then got busted.
Still nice to see them that close.
    Good luck filling your tag.

Doesn't get cold enough in Ontario not to go for me.

Iím out right now watching a pile of carrots at -28. Dropped the gloves, jacket and hat, enjoying a warm coffee, later a sandwich and going to do some work on my laptop....

    Kind of cheating, isnít it?

All gone but we have plenty more.

We are 7 guys sitting right now. I havenít seen anything but I heard from one and he was watching 7 does and fawns.

We are hunting 400 acres of deer yard so lots around.

    Nice set up.
Bring a compass. It's awkward when you have to eat your friends.
