January 6 Lake Simcoe
Fished out from 12th line Oro township on Lake Simcoe this past saturday. Very cold, very good ice. 10" consistently. One major crack couple hundred yards out from shore was 12-20" open water. Was tighter on the way back in. 65 FOW, all three on a sebile vibrato. Stomachs on each fish were full of gobies between 1-4", with the Ling having a 12" herring as well.
Big thanks to Oro-Medonte that allows side street parking near many access points, even with a trailer. Seems like most of Simcoe is Pay or Private.8 mile point.jpg

Nice fishing. I have fished there as well in the past. I usually fish that side a couple times a year, stay at buddies in bass lake. Didn't do well last year, but maybe better this year.
