moose hunted just up the river in pierre lake and the fishing was pretty good,we did not spend alot time fishing, but jigs with white twisters was all we needed.
i think that area is good, i would hope you post when you get back as we are thinking of maybe going there next spring.

Too bad your not going in September. You could have drove the Eldee Rd between Hwy 11 and Terrace Bay for some free fishing and maybe a few grouse.

If you think you want to try the Eldee Rd, you will have to carry extra fuel and use a GPS that uses Topo maps and paper maps as good for a backup. It will be real Bush camping. You pull off hwy 11 and the next town you come to is Terrace Bay, so be ready for lots of back roads driving.

It is some of the best fun you can have with your clothes on...
Jacked up, Rigged out and Ready to run.

Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.
