Okay hunters, whats the real skinny on calls made with exotic materials?? Are they any better sounding than same designs made with "local" or traditional materials?? Do they call in more game?? I need honest answers, not biased by those who have paid a fortune for a call and now trying to justify the cost to make them feel better. LOL.............................Daniel

What type of calls are we talking about and what species. In general I've bought calls from different price ranges and haven't notice much difference at all (sound wise). The only real difference I have noticed was the quality of the materials being used and depending on what sound and pitch your trying to achieve really depends on materials being used. So I would buy the calls in the in between price range

Not in the market to buy any calls. I have some over 50 years old still sound great and call in waterfowl. I have a dozen or more turkey calls I have built myself. It,s not rocket science, and they call in the birds. Just that I have seen calls for different critters that have price tags in the hundreds. WTF, are they worth it. Not to me.

The Old Saying goes, "A good caller can make a cheap cal sound great, and a poor caller can make a very expensive call sound like crap ".

I don't think they are worth it at all. But to each is own. If you have the money then why not
