So hinge cutting, bedding areas and food plots for deer.....

Can you do anything to your property to make it more appealing for Moose ?

    Other than a small fire......

    Moose travel too much.
They will not confine their entire lives to the small areas that a deer can do.
It takes large scale changes to affect moose -- like a fire

We had a excavator in and cleared several food plots.
On the second day, with the music blaring and the machines roaring, we had 5 cows milling around.
They came in for the maple tops and I suspect the new dirt smell was attractive

IMO it's much easier to hunt where Moose want to be naturally. If you have enough property with hardwoods mix with conifer, a fresh cut over will keep them coming for a while. Salt licks help also. Good Luck

Probably not. Like most wild animals, they seem to know when hunting season is on........

This is very simple to me , for metabolism we need salt human or wild game , we all need it . So if we or wild game not getting it naturally with food we - they eat , will look somewhere else. And they find a salt box , and they visit it as they feel need it . Will learn it where they can find . Moose Bear Deer
