Default Pair of Monarch Butterflies Emerge from Chrysalis (Video)

    Hello All,

This is the first year I have decided to raise monarch caterpillars in hopes of helping raise their numbers. As of today, I have collected 48 caterpillars, 5 eggs (the last hatched just now), and have released 4 butterflies. Out of those 53 caterpillars, 28 are currently in their chrysalis.

Was excited to film the following footage earlier in the week, showing two butterflies emerging from their chrysalis. A cool experience to say the least!!

Watch in 1080p HD for best quality.

    Cheers,

    Justin

    Hey that's neat to see.
This year I have seen more Monarch's than the previous few years, hopefully they are coming back.

A real wonder of nature how that little wiggle worm(caterpillar) can turn into something as nice as a Monarch.

I'd have to agree with you Jaycee, not lots buy more than last couple of years for sure. Not seeing any barn swallows though like I have in the past...
