    For sure it will.
    But you are micro-managing.
Almost anything 180 grains launched fast enough will kill a moose if you put it through both lungs.

I thought you had to spend at least $80 a box to get ammo that would kill a moose, $60 a box to kill a deer

Ha! That's funny you say I'm micro-managing because that's what I told my Dad he was doing when he was concerned his 270 wasn't big enough!

They key here is that your 180gr choice for deer is a fine one for moose, a 180gr .308 bullet has enough sectional density for moose in most cases, there are some really explosive bullet designs but a simple 180gr cup and core or a premium will be fine. I know that people talk up the Partition and I was looking at it for my dad to run for a deer/moose bullet in his 30-06, but a normal cup and core 180gr in that gun is not moving fast enough to blow up on impact, not to the extent of a 300 WM or bigger, so we decided to go with a Hornady Interlock 180gr, I doubt the animals will know the difference.

    HaHa Touché.
Most of the Moose I shot were with a 7 mm Rem Mag 175 gr. Federal blue box soft point. There wasn’t too much choices back then. It did a great job. Lots of good bullets nowadays. Nosler Partition, Accubond, Triple Shock, etc
