    Default Finally a flock

Today , I saw the first flock of geese, they flew over the house , had I not been busy assembling some equipment, I might have had the shotgun out and done some shooting, they were in range only 6 birds.
By the time I and my wife heard them it was too late to go running for my shotgun besides I don,t run that well with my bum knee which gets replaced in Jan.
This so far around here has been an unusual fall with the lack of geese flying around , maybe things are starting to change.

I'm around the Almonte area and the geese seem pretty normal around here. Been seeing them flying and in fields for the last couple of weeks.

    Cheers

I agree that does seem to be a strange year. I'm seeing some birds, but not like last year. Saw a flock yesterday in a plowed field. Good luck with the knee. Be a real cold day in hell before I get the 2nd one done for me.

There was a field north of Beaverton that was covered with them.

Yes, of course! They are either on such PRIVATE land, farms/fields... or right in the parking lot of the local shopping mall.

Seeing lots in my neighbourhood. Same story every time though "I don't mind hunting, but you're the fifth guy to ask!" Glad somebody's getting the opportunity but fields get tied up quickly in my neck of the woods. Lots of hunters.
