    Default Hanging temps

Wednesday is supposed to drop down to -14C. Would that have any negative effects on a hanging deer that was harvested on Sunday?

No but it will freeze solid on you & be a real pain to butcher. If you have time I would quarter it & de-bone it & get it in a cooler with some ice. 4 years ago I had a buck freeze on me. It took 2 days to unthaw in my garage so I could skin it & butcher it...

Great idea. Thanks! I actually just got a new refrigerator, so I can use the old one for the deboned meat.

Generally we only hang a deer for 1 maybe 2 full days.
