    Default Boxing Day Bunny Hunt

Well with a fresh dusting of snow and temps around the freezing mark, I decided to go on a cottontail hunt.
Conditions where perfect and ended up bagging my limit. All rabbits where found hiding under fallen tree's.
My gsp and 28ga did there job. Hope all the rabbit hunters on here are enjoying the winter season as well.

What shells do you use for rabbits with the 28?

Kickingfrog I use 3/4oz # 6's and they work great.

Wow. Reminds me of the old days when rabbits were so plentiful. Well done. When's dinner?

Good to know. I don't find too many bunnies when I'm out for grouse (I got one this year and can't remember the last time I took a shot at one). I usually carry some #5's or 4's just incase when I have a 20 gauge but when I've had my 28 I'd have passed on a bunny thinking that 3/4 oz of 6's just wasn't enough.

    Great hunt!
Just curious, does your dog flush the rabbits for you? Or just point?
