    Default time sure passes quickly

I was reading about bringing home the new pudelpointer puppy and realized that Islay my Brittany is only three and now the doting mother of 8 lovely puppies. We've covered a lot of ground between hunting, hunt tests and the show ring in the last 3 years.

I can never breed my dogs. I wouldn’t want to part with pups.
Iím suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Its the only way to get the pick of the litter and decide who would be deserving of the rest.

Oh ..... with the amount of work involved from start to finish, by the time the pups are eights weeks old you are ready to stand on the driveway and wave good-bye!! LOL! (Particularly for the troublemakers! Departure day is definitely easier when you are keeping one though!!

I'm lucky that a good friend is getting one of the pups so I'll be able work with the youngster. I'd keep one but 3 dogs is a lot for an amateur like me.

In all seriousness, there too many highly qualified and dedicated breeders out there producing great pups. Proven bloodlines and all that. I’ll stick to buying from them, a lot easier. But I get the desire to breed a litter from your own dog.

LOL Absolutely. But a great ride isn't it.
