    I managed to take one on June 1st on our groups annual bear week trip. My 2nd with a stickbow. Everyone in the group had opportunities but this was the only one that came home.
    As you can see, I used the fanciest new digital camo on the market

    wow thats awesome. congrats. my goal is to take one with a stick (compound) one day but for now i'll learn from afar with my rifle.

    how close were you for a trad shot ? over bait ? in a tree or ground ? is that a VPA broadhead ? MORE DETAILS MAN.

    Those ears look plenty far apart, that's a fine boar there, wtg. Now that you've teased us with that, hows about a good story, some more pics and some specs on the critter and your recurve setup? I look forward to the thread.

    Gee... well, now I kinda feel like i've mislead you fellas. heehee
    It's actually not a very big bear at all. <200lbs. It's a really good 'big fish' photo.
    That said, I was more than happy to take it and make it a successful spring adventure. If ya'll are interested, I'll throw together a quick thread about this years successes, failures, and lessons learned. Traffic's been kinda light on here these days anyhow
