I know the spawn was going full tilt in the Gibson Lake in Thorold last weekend. There were thousands rolling and thrashing all over the canal side of the bridge. I've never been very successful during the spawn, but pre and post are usually pretty good.

I've just started to see reports of carp being caught in the Long Sault Parkway area of the St. Lawrence.

There were a number of carp caught in our "Catch a Dream!" Kids Fishing Derby last weekend on Lake Scugog!! One of the fish was dropping eggs, so they are in full blown spawn!

Grind them up... spread and till... to fertilize the veggie garden.

Not meaning to high-jack this post but ...... OFAH had a post Thursday .... My response .

    To Whom it may concern
My name is Glen Skinner and I am an avid carp fisher ...... however I do it with bow and spear . As long as the Regulations do not change the common carp from a course fish to a sport fish ... I can share my waters . Can they do the same ?
    Thank You Glen Skinner
