I have a grey beard Horton Legend 150, shoots a 100 grain Rage at about 270 fps. Would love to upgrade but don't bow hunt enough anymore.
Rifle and shotgun hunts take up all of my time in the deer woods. Congrats to folks that bow hunt and take advantage of today's technology, it is amazing how far they have come!

I don’t think crossbows should be legal.........just kidding!!! I have a Browning, that I’ve had for at least 20 yrs plus. Shot lots of deer with it. I really like the Micros, but just can’t seem to justify the expense, when my old Browning has been a great bow. A buddy bought the Assassin and loves it.
    Maybe next year .......

I've used an older PSE compound for years, but,I want to go the other way with a new recurve just for shytes and giggles.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Just got the new BassPro flyer.

    Raven r29 ( $3,199.99) Raven r26 ( $2,499.99) bow case is another $400

    WOW! fricken WOW!

If I had that much money I would buy a $700 crossbow and use the rest for a trip to Sask. or Alberta, or Newfoundland.
That's a ton of money to shoot 1 deer per year. Telling your friends you shot it at 90 yds is just stroking your ego.
and bears are usually 20 yds or less.

Just my opinion but I'm just a crotchety ol bugger with more common sense then money.

If you keep doing what you've always done. You'll keep getting what you've always got!

Have a Stryker ls. 390 and bulldog 400. No need for a new bow. These two should last a few years..

By what whacked out logic do companies justify that insane price? What are they made of gold? And by what whacked out logic would some idiot actually pay that much?

Why would anybody buy a $4000 US Optics or $3k+ Nightforce when a $600 VX3 has put millions of pounds of venison in freezers?
Why buy a $1800 fly rod when you can catch trout with an $89 Walmart combo?
$4k for custom set of golf clubs.....who do you think you are Jack Nicklaus?
Probly do just as well with the $20 garage sale set.
Don’t need a $600 hand forged custom leather sheath hunting knife either to skin a moose when $49 Outdoor Edge peels the bark off em just fine......but guys like buying nice shyt just becuz...
Men are just boys with paychecks.

That is the same as , some buy a jogging/ running shoe for $ 60 to $80 dollar range , then others pay $ 300, does it make sense ???
The same can be said for regular blue jeans verses designer jeans for hundreds of dollars, why???
In most cases they both have the same life span.

Must be the AAA grade walnut and fit and finish????? I paid $900 for my matrix 380 and can't see myself dishing out almost double for little upgrade on the new assassin bows, let alone thousands more for a Raven.

Believe it or not Ravin is asking what the market will bare. Some people can afford it and they buy them...

Sooner or later the crossbow market will tank & some of the smaller companies won't be able to compete...

No matter what anybody says Excalibur is still the smart choice cross-bow to own as far as self sufficient maintenance & the ability to change strings and limbs with ease if needed. They might not be fast but if I was hunting remotely I wouldn't even consider using my compound crossbow...

My Micro 335 even shoots crappy arrows like they are customs... lol
