You need to check Municipal by laws for the discharge of firearms. The west side of the river is in the Town of Weat Gwillimbury in the county of Simcoe and the east side is in the town of East Gwillimbury in the Rwgion of York. Both municipalities have discharge of firearms by'laws with appended maps on their websites.

I would also imagine that because that river has a great deal of use by recreational boaters and others that in all likelihood the discharge of firearms in that arra would be prohibited.

Don't "Imagine" know. You said there is information available with maps, so you of all people should not have to "imagine, guess, suppose, assume".

Having referred the OP to the two municipalities I think he or she can confirm for themselves but as I see the multitude of pleasure craft on that river regularly it seems fairly safe to assume in this case. Snowwalker If you can provide contrary details that discharge of firearms is allowed there feel free to share.

    Ok
I have hunted legally on the holland river.

Sunday hunting on east side only, not the full length of the river is huntable but enough of it is.
