    Default Are Turkey Moving North?

I was up on the access road headed to Dokis just east of Noelville last week and I seen a hen Turkey and was wondering how far north have people been seeing wild turkeys.

My uncle's place on Nipissing near Calendar has had them for a few years too.

There was an early release location near Noelville, my uncle had a camp there and the sign was up for years. The population has not really taken off there though.

I have seen turkeys as far north as the UP in Michigan, and in Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota, so they obviously can handle northern weather.

There was a Turkey release in WMU45 St.Joseph Island and they have established them selves very well. A few turkeys left the island and established themselves in WMU36 and a couple years ago a spring turkey season was opened.

there is or was a season in 47 now, so they must be that far north? I swear I have heard them at our place outside Port Loring, but not seen them.
saw some on the side of 11 just north of Huntsville.
