Southwestern Ontario Goose Hunt
Good afternoon, everyone. Recently moved to London for work and wondering what the waterfowl populations are like in the general region? I assume most of the hunting is field hunting given there aren't too many large lakes in the area? Any chance someone would be willing to take on an extra hunter this year? I have calls and a coffin blind, but no decoys to offer. I may have some farms to hunt towards Thorndale but haven't secured any yet. Hoping to start knocking on doors in the coming weeks to get permission to hunt fields.
Are there any bylaws or rules against hunting along the Thames or small bodies of water if I were to obtain property owners permission?

I can tell you horror stories about the Thames Valley Authority, but there is a character max on these posts.
Just figure that if your looking at the Thames up river of London, it's controlled by them. Fields and other streams/ponds should be fine.
Read your PM.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

London has a very large population of geese. I have been invited to go 2 or 3 times with a large group. If you get some fields or make the right friends you will do well. Lots of geese in the strathroy area as well, but no idea how it is to get permission. Good luck

That's how you'll get 'em! Fill up the gas tank.
