Did not know there were Rainbows in the Moon. Perhaps at the mouth at Georgian Bay................Daniel

    Nor do I.
I my opinion, Steelhead are a rainbow trout species that live in the ocean , then move into the fresh water rivers to spawn.
I did not realize that these fish would travel as far as Georgian Bay during this migration run.

As for native Ontario trout species that I know as Rainbow trout, there might be some kind of run in the moon.
They are know to be at Port Severn, Coldwater Creek, Parry Sound etc.
Might find a few at the Moon.

Rainbow trout are not native to Ontario.

The term 'Steelhead' simply refers to their anadromous nature. I'm sure the thread could have done without the sarcasm!
