I built this tree stand on a 4x6 pallet... made an excellent stand for rifle, ML and crossbow. Make sure you place your shooting window below your line of sight as you will be shooting downwards (this is up 16'). Also put on an evestrough so it didn't have water dripping in front of the window.

Making a blind out of it is great, but keep in mind because it happen to me if there are porcupines in the area they love the smell of the glue in it and will eat threw it.

We had one that was scaffolding 3 sets high only two in the group would go up it wind wiped it out one winter now it’s two sets high

4x6 is plenty of room. Any bigger and you'll have to move around too much to look out the windows, thereby making noise.
You'll have lots of elbow room with 4 feet

I used a block and tackle to lift it up in sections.
