A good morning...
I went for a drive yesterday evening to see if any of the crops were getting cut..... Seen one of the cut wheat fields I have permission on with a few geese landing in there.... So thought I would go for a morning hunt and see what happens.... Wasn't expecting too much as there weren't too many geese in it during my scouting adventure....
I went in there light, with just 2 dozens silhouette decoys and hid (sat on a chair) in the tall strip of grass...The first 2 birds came in just after 7:30 am.... with my first few shots of the year, 2 birds down..... Had a couple of small flocks (6-8 birds) come in afterwards allowing me to get my limit by 8:15.....A good morning outing for sure..
