Had a great day in the uplands today. Started off first thing in the morning with a quick warm up hunt at Hullet. Where I manged to put a rooster pheasant in the bag. On my way out saw two pheasants on the side of the road and almost changed my mind and stayed there, but I had the woodcock migration on my mind. So I continued to another property to try my luck. Well my idea paid off, as the woodcock where in thick. Ended off with my limit plus two bonus grouse. After I shot my last bird as I was walking out, we where still flushing birds. A memorable day, fellow woodcock hunters I think this is going to be the week. Have fun out there.

What a strange year for grouse....They seem plentiful north of me and south of me but man are they scarce right in my local area. Congrats on your great day!!!
A bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work!
