New 2019 video!! See how it looks like when lake trout bite your bait, follow and how they fight underwater. It shows how a lake trout reacts to different speeds. We were trolling for lake trout using a variety of baits including bondy baits, divers and Flatfish T60. This was all shot during June of 2019 at Elk Island Lodge on Gods Lake, Manitoba, Canada. I was never a fan of lures that had too much action built in. The video clearly suggests just how many misses can be attributed to lures that behave in this manner. Hard to beat a silver Williams trailing a minnow. Flatfish are meant to be trolled much slower than what these show.
