What kind of grunt tactics would work this late in the season?

Yes. I’ve had 3 excellent bucks come to my bleat call. I’m 100 percent sure it was the call, too.

You can try to call blindly and do a few calls to draw bucks in view but out of range. Some tips: deer aren’t very vocal so don’t over-call, don’t call a deer that is approaching you, and don’t call a deer that you don’t intend to shoot - you will only educate them.
