    Default Still plugging along

Was out today for some late season pheasants. Had to cover a lot of ground to get a rooster to cooperate, but on such a nice day, it was worth it.

    Anyone else still "plugging along"?

I will be out Thursday but unfortunately yes, it’s coming to an end for this year.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

it it helps to love him as you get the faint whiff of skunk when he walks by, and when you have to pull yet another porcupine quill out of his face weeks after he’s been to multiple vets.

Good job Dilly, looks like a great day! I am pretty much done for the season for the most part, although I might still sneak out for grouse if time permits.
Cant complain, it’s been a pretty good year for me.

Surprised any upland hunters would be slowing down right now. Why wouldn’t you hunt grouse in December? Prettiest time of year to be in the woods, get an extra month at a pastime you have thousands of $ invested in, get to hunt real wild birds and the dogs are sharpened up on the pen reared birds...I’ll be going as hard as time and gas money permits for the next 5 weeks.
