Non resident muzzleloader
Anyone know what is required by an American bringing a modern muzzleloader across the border to deer hunt with in Ontario. I am referring to the firearm aspect not the deer licence etc.
I am finding/getting conflicting information.

Thanks.
My issue is that some people are saying that muzzleloaders are an exception.
I know they are going into the US but I can’t confirm either way about coming into Canada.

MLS are no different than any other rifle or shotgun in Canada, with respect to Licencing. ( unless it’s antique) As you said, going into the States is different because in the US, they are not classed as a firearm. We need a firearms licence to possess a ML, same is true for a nonresident. So bottom line is, they need either a temp firearms license, or a 5 year PAL.....
